Wall in F-Body?
Anybody have any install pics of a wall in a 3rd-gen? I've found pics and links to some nice rear-storage and hatch boxes, but haven't seen anybody building a wall. While not practical for my current IROC (it IS a still a driver), I've thought of picking up another 3rd-gen, and building it strictly for Db. Anyone done this, or know somebody who has? I've only been to a handful of sound-offs, but I've been the only 3rd-gen there each time!

I've seen it in a 4th gen. The problem is, with a wall you lose the fantastic transfer function that the car's interior provides. The 4th gen had exactly double the power of my system, 4 15" JLs instead of my 2 12" subs, yet only hit 4dB higher. If you want to do SPL, a thirdgen isn't the right choice.

I am aware that the 3rd-gen is not an ideal platform for building an SPL vehicle. I seem to be stuck in the "dare to be different" frame of mind, though. And, I love the third gens. I've used various Camaros for a high school beater, daily transportation for many years, and as street/strip cars. I've never built an SPL oriented car, although my current system is bordering on it. It would only be logical (to my slightly demented mind anyways!) to try to use what I like, and make the most of it. I was just curious to see if anybody else had tried it, and how they fared.

kinda unrelated but thought I'd reply anyway. I had a wall in my last car and while I don't think it sounded as good as some of the other systems I've done it was fun as hell. It was neat to see people's jaws drop when they got in the car. If you do it you'll have fun with it. Kinda sucks backing up.

That car is a hunk of crap. I've talked to the guy before and he's never had the car's SPL measured. There's a reason it's never been measured.
