fule inlet to carb is stuck
the fuel filter on my car is right in front of the carburetor, between the fuel line and the carb itself...to change it you're supposed to simply unscrew the fuel line from the carb/filter housing...the problem is that when i try to unscrew it the fuel line twists, i've tried spraying it with wd-40 and other things like liquid wrench and none of it works...so i'm at the point now where i thin i'll cut the fuel line tubing and put a new fuel filter housing on...i know theres a certain tool i need to flare the fuel line where i cut it, i saw it somewhere once but i dont know what its called...i know what has to be done i just dont know what the tool is...has anyone else had this problem? or maybe theres a tech article someone knows about...i just need to replace my fuel filter sometime soon and i cant till i figure out how to do it...any help would be great...

If the fule line nut is turning the fuel filter housing instead of unscrewing from it you'll twist up the fuel line every time. Fuel filter housing takes a 1" wrench, fuel line nut takes a 5/8" but I have found most fuel lines it's best to go right to a set of vice-grips BEFORE you tear the corners off the nut with a "line wrench" (which rarely works). Hold the fule filter nut with the big 1" wrench while loosening the fuel line nut with the vice grips and it should pop pretty easy.
