I gotta buy a carburetor tonight... which one?

Okay, I am ready to purchase a new carburetor for my new rpm air gap intake. But which one?

I like Edelbrock, cause it's easy, cheap, and good on gas mileage.

I like Holley because it is powerful.

I like Demon, cause you can say you have a bad *** demon carb...

The summit guy that I talked to said I should go with the
Edelbrock performer 600.

I think I would need bigger than that.

My 350 has been bored over, I have shorty headers, 3 inch exhaust, the edelbrock rpm air gap manifold, and 194 camel hump heads.

I really want a good balance between performance and gas mileage.

I am looking at:

Edelbrock performer

Holley street avenger (6% better fuel economy, but better than what?)

Or the Road Demon Jr.

let me know asap. I am buying tonight, so I need some opinions...

Go here: http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...FMSC/FMSC.html . Use the formula (go ahead and use 100% VE). Write down that number.

Now go here: http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/TechSer...fo/TI-225.html . Draw a line between the RPM & displacement columns appropriate for your engine and read the CFM from the 3rd column. Write that number down.

Buy a Holley or Demon double pumper no smaller than the 1st number and no larger than the 2nd.

Forget air valve and vacuum secondary carbs. Do you have a tow vehicle, or a performance automobile?
