edelbrock???

Ok, heres the deal, i have a 1982 Camaro, 3.73 posi rear, th350 trans with shift kit and 3500 stall, 355 SBC with world sr torquer 2.02 heads, 10-1 comp, .530 lift cam 30/30 cam, 1.6-1 roller tip rockers, mallory ignition, flowmaster exhaust with holley shorty headers, currently a 750 cfm Edelbrock,
I took it to the trak last week and ran a 14.6 with a 1.90 60', it wouldnt pull at top end, so i put a single plane intake on it to help and because i suspected a vac leak. now i can turn my air/fuel screws anyway i want with no change, idle doesnt go up or down, wouldnt this suggest i have a vac leak?? shouldnt the engine die when i closed these screws?? this car is makeing me pull my hair out and just doesnt have the power it should

Yes it should start to miss when the screws are too far in or out (lean/rich). I have had a hella time setting mine up nicely and after a whole summer i still think it can do better.

My next buildup is getting a holley or something...

camaro03,

can you get your hands on a vacuum guage?

if so, you might try this test,
hook it up to look a nanifold vacuum when driving.

at WOT, vacuum should be, guessing, 3 psi or less..

if you have lots of vacuum at WOT, there is
some kind of a restriction.
