Mallory 4309 and vacuum/boost port?
Most of the pictures I've found on here have the vacuum/boost port disconnected. Is it not worth hooking up?

If it was hooked to a manifold vacuum source wouldn't it lower fuel pressure at an idle and let more fuel return to tank. This could make your fuel pump live longer and run cooler.

I was having problems with my fuel pressure remaining steady when I had it connected, sometimes the pressure would be 2psi, next start it would be 10psi - so I disconnected it on mine and no more problem.
