Ouch....

About 82-87. Ones from a Monte Carlo or a Caprice will also fit.

Did you strip the fuel threads going into the fuel filter adapter, or from the fuel filter part into the carb itself?
ie. can you just replace the fuel filter socket part? If so, use the five finger discount at the local JY and just grab that part.

Re: what year carb will direct fit a 1986 LG4?

If you've stripped the threads in the carb body you can pick up a kit that self taps a new fitting into the body. I got one at NAPA a few years back for a few dollars. Just have to be extra careful not to allow any of the metal shavings to enter the float. You can do it on the motor but you'll have to block the fuel passage to the seat with a plugged vacuum hose or something, then blow everything out.

you can use any Q-jet from 82-87 like someone mentioned but with a $7 adapter plate you can put any square bore carb on I.E edelbrock, holley, demon. adapter plate is from edelbrock sold through jegs or summit.

Which, of course, would also require a non-computer distributor, TCC lock-up provision if automatic, and is about a 90% guarantee to be a downgrade.

if you still need one, i found a rebuilt carb for an LG4 in my garage, never been installed, could use a bit of cleaning, but it's all there, PM me with an offer if you want it.
