Hi guys, I have 82 camaro that has 2 gas lines can I hook both lines up to a Y and come out to 1 gas line and run it to the fuel pump. If both lines are open they will leak gas. So I'm thinking I could tie both together in to 1 and run it to the fuel pump. I'm running a 327 small block.

I no 1 is a supply and 1 is a return, what I'm asking is can they both tide together and run it from the gas tank to the fuel pump,2nd? - also do the return gas line need to be hook up. On a carb motor. When both lines was cut the return and supply gas lines they both leak gas.

Well if you hook the return into a supply line then it wont do any good. You do not have to have a return line. But it is nice to save some gas. I am just wondering if your car has an adjustable regulator? If not then you should need one. Maybe someone else would know for sure. Its been done, but not by me. Seems like it would run rich with no return line.

I have to move the gas line over the the right side of the car. So what I was thinking, that at the gas tank I could tie both gas line line together at the tank and run it in to 1 and bring it up to the fuel pump on 1 gas line. With both gas line open the return and supply they leak gas with the lines cut open..
Look up a fuel pum pfor a 70s to mid 80s full size car with AC, they will have the fuel pump with a built in return line.
You can then use both lines as intended.
Only the big cars with AC had a FP with a return.

I thought the return fuel line was for fuel injected motor. Motor is running with the fuel line, on the driver side running under the frame of the motor to the fuel pump for now just to get it running. The return line is near the exhaust on the driver side to.
The return line is cap off for now had to use a long screw about 1.5" and a clamp to get it to stop leaking. So I was thinking, I can just tie both lines together at the gas tank in to 1 gas line and run it up to the fuel pump. Would this still work and be OK to use it like this.
I have new summit fuel pump. "O" can I use a copper AC line for a fuel line I have about 200 feet roll of 3/8 line it would save from going out to buy new lines to run from the gas tank.

From the extra under hood heat big cars with carb n AC had a return line to stop vapor lock. Where it get so hot under to hood the gas in the line boils.

3rd gen cars all had the return line. The stock V8 carb'd fuel pump had a return line.
The stock 3/8" supply line will handle most any streetable engine combination you could imagine. You're better off running the lines as designed than trying to tie them together because you'll benefit more from the return capability than you would from additional supply capability.
