When your cars are cold...
Howdy guys...when your cars are cold, do you have major acceleration issues? If I try to run mine before letting it warm up for a minute or two at least I have very jerky acceleration, and sometimes I think I see a bit of flame coming near my intake (I have a cowl hood so can constantly see intake)
Any thoughts or directions to check into? Thanks guys.

you really should let it warm up for a while... lol
My old 355 and this 327 are terrible for that, it takes a few minutes before they'll even idle on their own.

Mine's the same way. I know carbs need to warm up a bit before you can get on them, but I always thought mine just needed some fine-tuning. I can't run mine hard for the first 5-10 minutes after I start it, depending on the ambient temps.

Re: When your cars are cold...
I sorta have the same problem, when i go to get on mine after its only been on for a few minutes i can actually hear it back fire or something pop in the hood. But after about 5-10 minutes its good to go. Ive got a factory 305 with an edelbrock carb and intake, and i know for a fact its timed right. Could this be fixed with carb adjustment, or is it just a matter of letting it warm up?
