Re: Fuel Filter

Did you keep the in-tank pump or did you already remove it? You can use the in tank pump with a return style regulator. No need for a mechanical pump.

If you use a filter with a mechanical pump, most mfg suggest putting it after the pump. You want as little resistance as possible on the sucking side for proper flow. I've personally ran a fuel filter before the mechanical pump without any ill side affects though.

Re: Fuel Filter

i still have the stock filter, and one right before the carb, after the regulater.
i ditched the in-tank pump and fabbed a pick-up for the mechanical pump..
but yea, a return style regulater will work if your keeping the electric pump.

Re: Fuel Filter

Sometimes people will recommend not to sometimes they will recommend it. A filter before a mech. Will decrease the chance of pump failure by clogging, but add a little more of a load to it's sucking ability.
