Car: 1987 Iroc-z Convertible | Vinyl wear stickers on the tonneau cover LOOK INSIDE I will be getting some of the wear stickers made I can get more made and they will be definitely under $100 not positive yet though but I need a template of the two side pieces. These will be exact replica's and will be made of a good quality 7 year vinyl and can be positioned like window tint then the glue sets. This would be better anyway because most of the decals that are left are yellowed now. If anyone is interested or can make me a template of the side pieces LMK. If you can make a quick trace of the sides I will pay for postage and give $5 or whatever for your time.

If you really do get some of these made I will buy one from you, no kidding around. I don't have one on my car right now, just a few extra coats of clear from when I got the tonneu cover repainted a few years ago.

You're right though it would be better to have a complete kit. I can see where the paint is scuffed right where those side pieces would cover. |

Car: 1987 Iroc-z Convertible | Re: Vinyl wear stickers on the tonneau cover LOOK INSIDE As long as I get one. They need to be exact though since I don't have them on mine. This will be the final spec on it. Also it doesn't matter if it is just a trace of just one of the side pieces because they should be symmetrical. I will get a prototype made first just like anything else but this will not be something that will take forever but it is not a cheap project either so bear with me. |

Car: 1987 Iroc-z Convertible | Re: Vinyl wear stickers on the tonneau cover LOOK INSIDE That's right for shoulder belts. That is a borrowed pic mine doesn't have should belts either. They were only on the 89+ verts. Anybody get that trace for me? I am going to try and get these done this week hopefully but I want the side pieces done too. |

Car: 92 Trans Am Convertible Engine: 5.0L | Re: Vinyl wear stickers on the tonneau cover LOOK INSIDE I just traced mine, send me your e-mail and I will scan in tomorrow at work and e-mail it to you, or I can fax it or snail mail.
I put a piece of paper over the decal and scribbled on the paper, the edge of the decal left a dark outline in the scribbling. I could only do the passenger side as the divers side is wrinkled.
I don't want any money for it, just want to be able to buy a new decal for less than 100. Hopefully car goes into paint in the next 30 days.

I know it would be alot easier scanning but I want to be sure everything is exact or in my mind this would be a waste. I really appreciate it. Thanks |

Hey Jeff, are you coming to the cruise with FAST on March 9th? I'm going but probably going to end up driving my gf's IROC-Z.

Car: 92 Trans Am Convertible Engine: 5.0L | Re: Vinyl wear stickers on the tonneau cover LOOK INSIDE Just wanted to make sure you received the paper with the shape of the little side decals, and that they provided you with the information you needed.
Also checking in to see your progress, I think my car will go in for paint next week and trying to decide what to do... Buy an older (yellowed) set for an unbelievably high price, buy some of the 3M Clear Mask, wait and get a set from you.
Thanks again, -Jeff |

If those don't work I can try to peel off one of the decals and send it over when I drop the car off for paint.
Thanks again. |
