Still have a few interior plastic that need replacing. At least now I can drive and enjoy it.

Re: finally done!

Took me a while to get done. I found the original material and had them made locally from a upholstery guy that works out of his garage. He did a great job. The only difference from stock is the "camaro" embroidery on the seat back I had him do it in blue. I had him do another seat set that I'm going to try and sell

Re: finally done!

Out of curiosity what did he charge you to build new seat covers. I am going to be getting the same thing done soon and no body will give me a price until I have it there in front of them to look at.

I'm looking to do the same thing, I supply the material, they build new covers.

Re: finally done!

I paid 350 for one seat set and 500 for one seat set and a pair of door panels. I made another seat set to sell. I paid almost 1000 for the material for everything. I'm going to try to get 1000 for the seat cover set.

Re: finally done!

Awesome car; looks showroom new. I thought about looking for the seat material from the mid-early 80s that said "camaro" across the middle. I think they had it in red, gray and maybe blue. I saw some on ebay years ago but someone "buy it now" and I havent seen any since. I thought about using it as headliner material.

Re: finally done!

The material was difficult to find, they had it, then they didn't. I'm glad I spent the money and time to do it right. I really wanted to keep it original looking.

Re: finally done!

I thought about changing that to body color like the 89's when I first bought the car but when I repainted it last year I didn't even think of doing it.
