New/aftermarket tonneau piece?
Hey guys,
Do any of you know anywhere possible to get a new/repro tonneau cover - just the black vinyl piece ?
Car is at the paintshop and this piece had to be removed and it broke so I have to get my hand on one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Here is the link to Hawks convertible parts.

Don't see a tonneau cover on there but you could try calling them. Not aware of any place that makes a new/aftermarket one. Probably going to have to look for a used one.

Thanks guys!
I tried reaching out to Hawks on messenger a week ago, but no response.. I couldn´t find the cover on their site anymore unforunately.
Will be searching for a used one, but the ones I´ve found so far comes with the lid which I don´t need. And, I wouldn´t want to have it shipped to Norway then try to peel it off and end up having that getting damaged as well
If Im out of luck I have to try to have a new one made. It really sucks that the paint shop broke it, as it was in perfect shape. I bought it as NOS piece in the factory box on ebay back in 1998, so it had been on since then..

my guess is you will have to keep trying them. I don't see it on the site anymore but did a search on here and see the post when hawks offered them . I would guess they have to make more and will probably be a long wait time.

How bad is it broken? It can be repaired if it just got cracked, it’s literally just like a compressed cardboard with some type of resin and then overlaid with leather. I’ve repaired one that was cracked in two places using epoxy and then re covered it with black leather.

If you have all the pieces, a good upholstery shop might be able to fix it...

Re: New/aftermarket tonneau piece?
I’ve been searching for the same piece for quite a while. I tried Hawks and they said the company that used to make the reproduction parade boot no longer produces them. They also have no intention of making them again. If you have any luck finding a place that makes these, please share the info. Surely there are others that need this same part without needing the entire tonneau. I have an 87 Iroc convertible that does not have the release handle notch cut into the parade boot, so those are even more difficult to come by from what I can tell. Good luck!

If you send me pictures of the condition of the one you have I can tell you if I can repair it and recover it.

Re: New/aftermarket tonneau piece?
Unfortunately, my original parade boot is long gone. For now, I simply glued vinyl material on the tonneau itself and cut around the parade boot hump that’s on the tonneau. Certainly not what I wanted to do, but without the parade boot itself, my options are pretty limited.

Re: New/aftermarket tonneau piece?
Per my conversation with ASC back in the late 90's, they sold all of their surplus parts to two companies (one in FL and one in CA). I contacted both and was able to buy a original black convertible top and a black tonneau cover. Both have been in storage since then. I'd be interested in selling either, but will not ship the tonneau cover. It'll have to be picked up (Madison, WI). From what I could determine ETM Enterprises in MI made this piece for ASC. Open to offers.

Re: New/aftermarket tonneau piece?
Because of the size I'm not to keen on packaging and shipping, but maybe what I can do is take it to a UPS Store and see what they would charge to package and ship. What is the zip code?

Re: New/aftermarket tonneau piece?
Sure, I am painting the car this weekend so I’ll be ready to finish the interior in a week or 2. Zip code is 84088 in Utah, I’ll pay any shipping fees of course, I’ve put so much time and $ trying to keep the car as original as possible, this piece looks to be in very good condition..thanks, mike

Re: New/aftermarket tonneau piece?
I still have the box with the top in it. It came from Paradise Motors out of FL, as far the tonneau it came out of CA. I'd have to go thru paperwork to see if I kept the notes I got from ASC.
