Don't take offense to this question, but did you mount it in the right spot between #6 and #8?

I have the Hypertech equivilent 180* and it's been a long time since it's crept up that high.

well what thermostat do you have??

the fan should come on at 180, does it???

220 is warm, it should be like lower than that even with a 195 in it and the fan running turning on at 180!!

need more info....

The Jet and Hypertech 180* fan switches come on at 200* and off at 185*.

And he states that he has a 180* t-stat. Or do you mean what brand?

hypertech makes two different fan switches

02-4026 Hypertech Cool Fan Switch [cuts on at 176, off at 166 degrees F]

02-4028 Hypertech Cool Fan Switch [cuts on at 200, off at 185 degrees F]

i must of read the post to quick, i see that now he has a 180 thermostat..

then something is wrong still, should be at least under 200! even in traffic..
