fan relay please help
the previous owner of my car has the fan relay rigged up so the fan runs all the time because he broke the fan switch that is in the block between the last two cylinders on the pas side of the engine.
Im wanting to replace that switch and fix it so the fan cycles off and on like it should, but I dont know what wires go where.
I'll give a description of how the wires are done and also Im including a pic(thanx to MdFormula350 for posting this diagram in another post)
ok as I doted on the pic
A has a thick black with red wire going to it
D has a thin brown wire going to it
E has a thick red wire going to it
F has a green wire going to it, that is ground to the body of the car with a screw.
can any of you please tell me how to rewire the relay and a new switch properly?

Do the wires in the relay connector look untampered. He probably left everything stock with the exception of the green wire. Did he piggyback the green wire to the existing wire or is the green wire the only one? If he did not simply tap into the wire and it was cut and attached to ground the simply lift the ground off, use a good splice and run that wire to the new fan switch connector. Look in the harness, he may have left the old wire tucked away and you may simply be able to splice it back together with a butt connector and some heatshrink tubing to weatherproof it. Thats all there is to it. I doubt if he cut the wire he went through the trouble of removing it from the harness.

well honestly the idiot didnt know what he was doing. the brown wire and the green wire were cut. but he connected the brown wire back in place then added some extra wire to the green one(he cut it about 1 inch from the relay.) and grounded it to the wheel well. other than the green it all looks like its where it should be.
so by what your saying if the rest of the wiring is still stock I should just be able to connect the green wire to the new fan switch and be all set.
Thanx for the help
