Bigger Air Dam??
I have a V-belt driven fan along with an electric fan on my Z and I am still running hotter than I did last year. I have a 160* thermostat, my coolant is fresh and topped off. The only thing I can think is that I put an 89 front end w/GFX on but did not replace the stock 84 air dam so I am wondering if that could be causing me engine to be running slightly hotter than normal. If this is the case would adding a air dam that spans the entire width of the frame, like on the 69 Z28's and Trans Am's, help to trap more air for better/extra cooling or not.

Take a pic if you can. The width of it probably isn't the problem. It may not hang down low enough--it must be lower than the ground fx to catch air. If it's old it is probably bent back. 25-30 bucks will get you a new one.
