A/C equals heat

do most of ur car heat up alot when u use the A/C i dont use mine to often but when i do tha car heats up alot, or could this be a problem with somthing

Engine: 2.8
Transmission: 700r4 auto
Axle/Gears: huh?? guessing stock.
Mine does the same thing. I dont like it, but it happens. have you checked the basics? is your fan or fans working, is your coolant fresh, how about your T-stat, it working? is the Air dam in plaece and decent condition?

I made an airdamn, flushed my cooling system completely, wired my fan to a manual switch and now with the AC on it will only get up to 240 going up hills. before the flush and dam I had to cut off the AC or I would be in danger of pegging the temp needle. I still dont like the temps I run at, so I am going to look into a larger core Rad and a better fan.

yeah ive got my fans wired to the ignition so there always running, new water pump, i gotta take a look at the t-stat tho
