Fan not working at all
Hey everyone I have a slight issue on my hands. My fans don't come on at all. I just tried jumping the connector for the coolant temp sensor and they still didn't come on. I have narrowed it down to ECM, Fan relay, or wiring... the fans worked with a filthy wiring job, I unhooked the wiring and now the fans don't come on at all. The fellow who did the wiring just tied into the red/black wire from the relay to the fan and it worked fine. Any suggestions?

ouch! bypass the insanity and get a $25 Zirgo fan control switch (180* - 240*), a new $6 30 amp relay, a $3 20 amp fuse holder w/ wires, $3 of black & $3 of red 16 gauge wire, some $3 14-16 connectors, & then use electric solder to connect it.

After work today I pised around with it and got it running like it should from the factory, except I found that the wires to the Heavy Duty Fan Switch are broken, so I'll have to fix that, but I also noticed whil eunder the T/A that I had a nice Coolant leak from up above... holy intake gasket... needed a new 305 anyways

Re: Fan not working at all
Just an update: it's the waterpump that's leaking bad, the intake gasket is leaking but is not a huge worry, how hard is it to change the waterpump on a 305 TPI... looks like it won't be too bad. Also, wondering on the best fix for the Heavy Duty Fan Switch. The wires are broken right at the sensor, so if I order a new sensor does it come with a new pigtail or do I have to order a new connector? Thanks in advance!
