I have done a lot of searching in trying to elminate all the heater core hoses, heater diverter valve and everything else associated with it. My heater core is out anyway, but I still have all the hoses running coolant through them.
The issue: Something that comes into play is the factory oil cooler (coolant runs through this particular set-up...NOT oil) One end goes to the radiator, the other end goes to metal tubing running under the blower motor and up the firewall, etc.
1. Does the oil cooler just make oil HOTTER or what? Anybody have actual evidence on this?
2. Could I just connect the hose from the front of the intake manifold to the other end of the oil cooler hose.
3. If I were to eliminate ALL of it, could I just plug at the manifold and at the oil cooler spot on the radiator... or does coolant need to go through there as an "outlet"
4. Typically i want it all gone w/ exception to the factory cooler...and I'm not sure on the right way to do it without causing problems in the cooling system.
pic attached...very ghetto, but it should work!
