New water pump and still overheating

I need help guys...
my 91 camaro has been overheating. I cant go for a mile and its already over heating.. so I bought a new water pump but it was still over heating. I deleted the thermostat and now i have some flow.. but its still over heating. fyi, Im running without my heater core.. so the water line from the intake I directed it back to the radiator to where the heater core hose went... would that cause a problem? I've seen on some cars that there is a hose running from the top of the water pump.. mine is closed.

I checked the upper radiator hose and I dont feel flow untill I almost close the hose all the way with my hand.. shouldn't there be more pressure than that.
Im starting to think that maybe the problem is the radiator that might be plugged up. Its also has the timing off so i know that would cause some over heating but i dont think it would be this much... Any ideas or tips are welcomed

Did your coolant come out clean or dirty?

The port on the top of the water pump is because the basic core of the pump is used in so many vehicles that it was cheaper to make one pump and just plug the hole for the applications that don't require it.

the fluid is coming out dirty... like a rust color. So I took the hose to the radiator till flushed out all that ****... but after it overheated again... out came more rust color water.I just messed with the car a lil while ago and there is very lil flow on the upper hose to the block.

I assume you need a reverse flow pump for your serp system. Is that what you bought?

With out the thermostat in the car, the coolant will keep circulating and won't stay in the radiator long enough to cool down. I'd get a new one and toss it in.

Also if the radiator was that clogged, even flushing it may not unclog it all the way.

put a 180 or 195 therm in it. are you still running all water?? do you have a mix of coolant and water? are the fans working right? also my pump has no lines going to it. if you routed it to the radiator like it was there should be no problem.

Re: New water pump and still overheating

Would routing the hole on my Stewart Water Pump to the back of my intake mess with anything? Its how I have it now but am not in position to start the car yet. My smog, ac, and heater valve thing is deleted so I have nothing going to my heater core anymore. Let me know guys, thanks.
