Take the radiator to a shop or buy a new one. While you have it out, take a good close look at the A/C condenser. After you've looked at it for awhile, start picking all the bugs, pebbles and other assorted crap out of it.

Re: 88 gta over heating problems

When I replaced the radiator due to a cooling problems and a leak . What shocked me more then the leak was the fins behind the A/C condensor. The fins were completely blocked with gunk built up over the years and I estimate the loss of cooling area to be well over 30 %. Now with the new radiator, I am running normal temp (180 deg) and 20 deg cooler with the A/C on.

This blockage was in a area that cannot be seen in a normal inspection and just washing with a hose would not have cleared it.
