New toy today
Uncle Sam gave me a belated Christmas present today....
I got a "new: laptop...IBM ThinkPAd (Pentium II) with 97MB RAM and a 5GB HDD running Windows Me. I know Windows Me sucx, but it seems okay on this little laptop.
Any thoughts as to WinALDL and TunerPro RT?
Oh yeah...I got the new 8746 ECM today for the Jeep...$83 at O'Reilly's in Corpus Christi and they actually had it on the shelf. I couldn't believe it. SCORE!!!!
Jeepin' and data logging results tomorrow I hope...

Hi Jeepguy,
That should be fine for those proggys. usually trouble start with 700 mhz and above with USB ports.
I just picked up a AMD2500 with a serial port. Its working great with win XP- tuner pro, tuner RT,datamaster, etc.
What mhz is the machine? I just loaded winxp on a PII400. I had him add 256ram to the stock 64 and it helped tremendous. XP more stable and working great with above mentioned proggys.

Ya know, I have no idea what mHz the little puter is. Let's check...
I do know that both batteries I got with it are GOOD and will take a full charge.
And the verdict is...hung jury...no indication of the mHz. It does say PII MMX Technology, though.

Download WCPUID and it'll tell you what speed your processor is running at and a couple of other things.
It's a nice program, well regarded in the overclocking circles (P3-700 @ 1050 fo' life) .

I think I could probably find memory for this one if I need to. It's a fairly recent model.
Thanks nape. I just got that program. Results in a minute

It says...
Intel Mobile Pentium II
Family 6, Model 5, Stepping ID 2
Processor speed 265.26
System bus 66.32 mHz
MMX supported
SSE not supported
SSE2 not supported
Sounds good to me...it works and that makes me happy...
