7747 prom
Hi Guys, I just eprom programmer, a couple of zif sockets, and a few 2732 eproms....
I took apart my 7747 ecm, and unsoldered the original eprom socket, and soldered in the new zif socket so that I could gain access to the lever....
My question is, when I removed the prom, I failed to take notice which side of the ECM the v-notch on the prom is supposed to go....
Does anyone know?
Thanks & Happy New Year!

Of all the ones I've used, with the limp home chips on your right, the v notch is all the way on the left. I just took a picture, screwdriver is pointing to notch.

On the 7747/8746/etc. the pin 1 should be facing the centerline of the ecm. If you installed a zif and have access to the handle then I'm pretty sure you've got it installed "correctly" where as pin 1 is closest to the lever.

Front 4 legs (2 each side, side with notch) hang off the adapter and are not used on the ecm.
