O2 sensor voltage?

I been lookin at some of myscans and I'm a little confused. Is the O2 senser voltage supposed to jump around, or should it slowly move around more or less holding steady?
Here are some of my numbers cruising down the highway. By the way I've got SLP headers, with a brand new senser.
945.88
318.24
910.52
782.34
344.76
760.24
313.82
914.94
327.08
371.28
941.46
304.98
795.6
150.28
570.1799
861.9
561.34
835.38
459.68
512.72
632.0599

Thanks

Hey Brian, What sort of time frame is that block of numbers from? What does your O2 transition count look like?

If these numbers are from a relatively short amount of time (depending on your scanner refresh rate), you are transitioning fine. And yes, your voltage should jump around in that range quite a bit, even when cruising along on the highway.

As long as you are getting into closed loop, and you DO HAVE O2 transitions (between 199mV and 699mV), then your O2 sensor is operating correctly.

Steve, thats with a time frame of about every second. I can't seem to get the high speed data out of my car. I think my computer is too slow, (old 386 with 0 extended memory), but Glenn thinks it should be able to keep up. What pin inthe ALDL do you use for 8192 baud? I'm using pin M (bottom right), that's correct isn't it?
Thanks for the help.

Your laptop should be able to keep up no problem....even an older one will retrieve several frames per second off of a GM ECM.

What ecm are you running? 7730 right? You should be able to get several frames, but regardless, you're bouncing around just fine. Glenn??..Correct me if I'm wrong here please.

I've actually got a 165 ecm but that shouldn't make a differance. I wonder whyits going so slow? What pin in the aldl should I connect to? M?
Thanks
