do i need to be a prom burner to run a miniram?

im not looking into burning proms now but i see alot of lean backfires and drivability probs with miniram and maf i dont wanna do proms now should i jus go with the superram? ive got a 87 355 tpi with 195cc afr heads and much more thanks Ron

Your going to have to do proms regardless, its just stupid not to. Think about it? Your running stock code that was designed for a STOCK motor... it can't possibly be correct or even close. I have the SR like i mentioned in your other post.
I don't have too many problems with backfire other than on decel... it seems to have fuel there. I'm using the MAF mainly and swapping SD in and out until i can get it tuned better.
