ZZ4 Prom Spark table where is it?
Could some one help me out with the starting offset of the spark table for the CCC ZZ4 PROM? (file attached) and the dimensions of the table would be a help too.
Looks like maybe $3B is where it starts... and its 12 X 12???...
I'm not sure... the pattern seem to start ok... but towards the 9th or 10th row it stops making any sense.
Be gentle, I'm a noob... Am I on the right track?

No one?
Someone must have taken a look at this chip and considered the spark table...
If I'm reading this thing right...
At high vacumn it is calling for 28*-30* almost flatlined across the RPM range
That can't be right... What am I doing wrong?
You take the 32 bit Hex number... convert it to decimal and then you factor it by 90*/255 right...
So 61 Hex = 34* of advance... 50Hex = 28*

I come up with the same as you do. It may be that the BIN is not stock, do you know the origin of it? Here is the SA table converted to degrees:
RBob.
Code:
low MAP high MAP 0003B 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 26 24 22 20 19 low RPM 00047 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 26 24 22 21 21 00053 28 28 28 28 28 26 25 23 22 21 21 21 0005F 28 28 28 28 28 28 27 26 26 26 26 26 0006B 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 00077 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 00083 29 28 27 26 26 25 24 26 29 29 29 29 0008F 29 29 29 29 27 26 25 28 31 31 30 29 0009B 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 28 30 000A7 30 30 30 30 30 30 29 32 35 33 28 30 000B3 30 30 30 30 30 31 30 34 31 31 31 32 000BF 30 30 30 30 30 30 32 29 30 30 33 33 high RPM

Re: ZZ4 Prom Spark table where is it?
I got that bin File from the Moates site... I have the ESC one too and the two files match except for one byte...
No idea if they are stock or not... If it is, it is very very lazy... not at all what I would expect from a about 1hp per
cid motor...
I think it might have been orginally read and posted by DOHC32V or Dave

Re: ZZ4 Prom Spark table where is it?
I loaded the ZZ4 ESC .BIN into the XDF for my 1990 Cadillac Sedan Deville with the LV2 307 in it. It now has a 403, hence the need for the program changes. Anyway, the bin mentioned above is for the late 80s L69 that shares the same ECM service number as my 1990 CCC system. I got this out of it.

Re: ZZ4 Prom Spark table where is it?
fast 355 you are miles ahead of me lol!
I'm trying to hack and understand the ZZ4 chip as I want to replace the Vin 9 307 in my 442 with a High compression Olds 350 and I want to keep the computer... partly because its cool and partly because the carb works so well but mostly because GM did this for F bodies I want to do this on a G Body...
I thought that the ZZ4 Chips have a simple table without smarts for temperature etc... guess i was wrong... If I look at a 84 OLDS H/O or an 85 SS Monte prom those tables make sense.. a "classic" 16* - 36* 'hockey stick' curve + ~15* vacuum advance (olds add 25* vacuum )...
Did the ZZ4 kit swap out the entire ECM? Or just the chip...
I thought in these years these chips just have tables and data... no programing... guess I was wrong about that too...
Fast 355... You have any Old CCC Bins that you would share? Def files?
