pin remover tool?

when you guys repin the stock ecm's, what tool do you use to remove the pins without messing them up?


i need to switch some wires around in the ecm plugs and not sure where to get this.

Or you can take an ordinary paper clip, unfold it and hit the end twice with a hammer and you have yourself a custom terminal removal tool. Put a J number on it and you've got yourself a 20 dollar Kent Moore tool.

Precision flathead screwdriver is the easiest way. Just depress the tang in the middle while pressing the screwdriver back lightly and out comes the pin.

Also, if you mess one up, Motormite still makes them. Some autoparts stores stock the pins in the electronics/wiring isle.

nice pin remover Fast. i use the same one. works like a charm, but it takes some messing around to get the hang of pulling the pins.

Are you guys going in through the center of a female pin to hit the release or on the outside of it?

its the hole next to where the pin from the computer goes into it.
