help with tunerpro
iv been using and tuning with tuner pro for about a year now with no issues but lately its been acting up. when i try to connect to my aldl it wont read anything. it will say its connected, i can sit here with the laptop in my room with nothing pluged in at all and hit the connect button and it will say its conceted, i can record a log file and all, it acts as if im conected but reads nothing, it does the same thing weather i actualy have my aldl cable pluged in or not. the aldl is setup to my bin and all. everything should be set up fine, i bascialy didnt tune the truck for about 4 months and now that im starting to try and tune again the aldl wont work.
another thing that pisses me off is if the motor dies while im emulating or if i try and upload anything to the emulator while the motor is not running or the batterys not disconected it will go screwey and throw me into limp mode requiring me to disconect the batery and re upload the tune. in some cases iv had to let the batery sit disconected overnight before the emulator would decide to work. maybe htis is just normal tho, huh? all is well if i make sure trhe truck is runign while i tune or the batery is disconected if i want top upload while its not running.

If you've been using the USB port on your laptop for other things, there may have been a port conflict developed.
what are you using for emulation? If it's a moates item like an Autoprom he has instructions on his site for switching modes to go between emulation and datalogging.
There are also some instructions for this in the help section of TunerPro.

Re: help with tunerpro
There are so many possibilities. If you think it might be a battery/voltage problem try swapping to another battery for a while to test.
Often problems like this can be caused by not having enough contact between the chip/emulator-plug pins and the socket in the ECM. I guess make sure it is plugged in/down all the way into the socket.
I'm probably not much help, but hopefully others offer some suggestions.
