Tunerpro v5 data log loading
I've recently downloaded Tuner Pro V5 onto a spare computer running windows Vista. I was able to import .bin and .xdf files from my V4.14 that's on a older laptop that I'd been using to progarm My TPI'd Caprice wagon ('730 and $8d) The V5 is functioning so far.
Since the car is laid up for winter, I'd like to play with some past data log sessions from the "old version and old laptop on the new version and new computer.
I've loaded a past session onto a USB thumb drive to the new computer. I seem to not understand how to import a past session into V5, as I've had no luck so far. Can't really spot the area or symbols ior combination of key strokes I need to be working with, to set things up to watch the old file play.
So is it possible to view a log from a previous version of Tunerpro, or does V5 only work with newly created logs from within the V5 program? What am I missing out on here?

Re: Tunerpro v5 data log loading
I'm thinking of taking a stab at trying to work with V5 again on my old laptop. Before I do that, has anyone else had both V4 and V5 on the same laptop. I'd hate to load V5 on it only to find it messed up the ability to continue to use V4 as a backup plan.

Yes, I currently have both V4 and V5 installed on both my PC (for my test bench) and my laptop.
What you need to do is when installing one version (I.E. when installing V4), when the options dialog box comes up for which folder to install into, add V4 to the name of the folder. You may need to create this folder in the Windows>Programs folder, then browse to it. I apologize if there is any part of this that is not 100% correct, as it's been a while since I did this. Then on the desktop you can rename the short cut, though I believe it should have the proper name automatically IIRC, when it is created.
The reason I used V4 in my case with the custom folder name, was because there will no longer be any newer versions of V4, but there will be newer versions of V5, and want to make installing the newer versions easier, by allowing the default install folder exist.
If you wanted to leave your current install of V4 on there but follow my same line of thinking, you can add the V4 to the folder name, but you will likely need to either add a new short cut or edit the shortcut path, by right clicking on it>Properties>Target/path.
I apologize if this just review, but I'm not sure how computer savvy you are, and it doesn't hurt for others wanting to do something similar that will read this.
