First time tuning, I need some help!

My burn2 and a few other things will be in Thursday and I already have my obd1 data logger. I want to start logging my truck but I have no clue what I am looking for that I need to adjust. I am using tuner pro rt and all the appropriate files (0D_tpv4_v200.xdf, 0D.ads, and BHMD.bin witch is an updated BDUL.bin apparently). So what is it that I should be looking for when I do my log that I need to adjust? There is so much stuff and I don't want to screw any thing up. So what are some of the first things I should adjust right off the get go? Even if someone could leed me in the right direction to some info. that would be awesome to. Any help would be great lol. Thanks in advance guys.

Start with using the BLM values and adjust the VE table(s). If the injectors are larger will need to reduce the proportional gains.

So what do I need to do/look for on the BLM values and the VE table? Should I swap to the 350 injectors while its still on the 305 or just wait?
the last few days I have read so much that its been overwhelming . I was hoping to have a good data log before my stuff comes in tomarrow. I have seen that a few pepole have put vortec heads on and tuned for it, what part of the bin have they modded for the extra airflow and compression? Is there better files than Im using for Tunerpro RT 5?

Is your truck stock?. If not what was changed?. Does truck run decent?Dalalogs of ALDL shows BLM values that allow you to modify VE tables to optimize them. Do a few datalogs on a 15 min drive at diff s peeds and vac/map. Witness sensors during log to better understand how they function. Did you read stickies above? Please do so.

Re: First time tuning, I need some help!

My truck is stock at the moment. I am building a 350 TBI to drop in later down the road. I am basically using what is in there (305) as a Ginnie pig to learn how to tune. The truck runs good but it is getting wore out with 230,000 miles on it. What I am thinking for the 350 is stock heads with a port and polish or vortec heads, headers, intake, and cam. So I am going to have to learn how to tune no matter what. I am not wasting my time/money with a mail order chip!

I was able to get a highway log in but havent goten a chance to get the intown one yet. From what I am understanding is that you want the BLM's to stay as close to 128 as posable. Is this correct?
