42# Bosch 3 injectors constant question in tune.

My 93 LT1 is using BOSCH III 42# injectors. My tune is stating the constant is 42#'s, but my flow chart shows 42.6 at 43.5psi( from the company that flowed them on a machine), which my fuel pressure is.
Will .6 make any difference. It is running rich, to my eyes at idle. No datalogs to show yet, but just cuirous if constant should be 42.6 since they flow 42.6 and not 42. These are GM injectors not Ford.

Maybe your injectors are to big for your build

The .6 difference will be hard to see.

What is the Bosch part numbers for your injectors? It should be 0 280 155 xxx . I was not aware of any GM Bosch III injectors that flow 42# at only 3bar.

I think those may be the same as the 99-2000 volvo injectors. I also stumbled across this set of table settings.

May be helpful.

Re: 42# Bosch 3 injectors constant question in tune.

Your injector offsets (vs voltage) could be different than what the PCM is using. (the bosch injectors might open&close faster @42psi than factory injectors at factory pressure).

You shouldn't try to guesstimate by feel on injector offsets; call bosch if the datasheet you got doesn't have that information.

The injector offset is different. With the tables that were provided, Tunercat used the sheet given to me to correct the offset within the tune, as well as the constant.
I know the VE tables etc need to be redone. Do you agree with that on a speed density car?

Re: 42# Bosch 3 injectors constant question in tune.

Yes. The injector constant in the tune doesn't need to be precise. As long as it's accurate (close), you should be able to get your BLMs where they need to be by adjusting the fuel tables. Once you get close to 128 across the board, you can tweak the Open Loop AFR stuff as necessary to get open loop idle fueling where you want it.
