Fuel preasure sensor for aldl data stream and log
Could I get a fuel preasure sensor and wire it into the oil temp pins on a 7730 and be able to log it in the aldl data stream?
I know that it would take some rescaling in the ADX file and possibly the bin also.

This is the sensor that I was planning on using.
Any opinions?

That's pin F12? It has a 348 ohm pull up to 5 volts on it. Will likely need to buffer the output of the pressure sensor to properly drive that input.

I always seem to open a can of worms! It seemed so simple.
Thanks for the reply. Is there a better choice of sensor?
I will just have to jump on the ecm bench and see what hapens.

One of the regulars here was working on finding an alternate, but most of us are using the the Autometer for our pressure range. $1oo Summit or Jeggs.

for situations like this, the 7727 and 7730s seem to have an abundance of A/D channels that have pullups on them, i opened mine up and eventually found the resistor, removed it, repositioned it, and made it a pulldown to ground. didn't know if there was any other option.

That is, being able to hook it up and go. No muss, no fuss.
For what you mentioned, can modify a whole bunch of inputs. And outputs for that matter. If so important to you, post pictures & a guide so that others can do the same.

Re: Fuel preasure sensor for aldl data stream and log
i've tweaked mine around so that there's only one pullup channel left open i think, one that uses a resistor that GM already defined a conversion table for, in case i need more than the IAT/CTS/trans temp/knock/ALDL pin B i'm using now.
it's on a 16149396, so it will directly apply for 7727s, but 7730s might need to do some circuit tracing, i can't remember how similar the board is in that area.
i might have to wait until my wife's new camera arrives though, mine doesn't do so well with close up shots. unless someone else can post some closeup pictures of a 7727 board?
as much as i'd like to not have to modify the internals, i'm essentially trying to build the ultimate MPFI P4 ECM with a mask to utilize the full extent of the hardware.

I think doing it without moding the ecm would be the preferred way just because there may be someone that wants to do this and doesn't feel comfortable with cutting on a ecm board.
