If my brother had any desire to have stuff done to his I'd have build some things out for it. But I'm curious since it seems to be one of the most ignored years of all.

The issue with the LT1 ECM code is multi-fold. It started as OBD-1 and no trans control. Then another PCM with trans control, then a little later a PCM with OBD-2 and trans along with some body control. Nothing was the same year-to-year. Multiple code bases, multiple hardware bases, multiple ALDL data steams.

Each mask has different definable and editable items. DA3 is not 8D, therefore these items are different between the two.
With that said, there is likely a bunch of stuff missing from the DA3 XDF. I did not create it, nor do I own a DA3 vehicle, so I can't speak to it's completeness. The best thing to do is use the DA3 hack and add the missing items. The hack is here:
