Question about Craig Moates ziff to ecm adapter
I just got all of my prom burning equipment and I just have some quick newbie questions.
1) If you hook up craigs adapter without an eprom in it, will it just work off of the stock chip or go into limp home mode.
2)Im not quite sure about which way to put the eprom chips in the socket. I put it in the programmer with the arrow pointing up, is that the correct way? And when you use the adapter do you always orient it the way it shows in the pictures on craigs site?
3) The help button does nothing in my power programmer 2 software, and the readme doesnt have any kind of user manual in it. Does anyone know where to go to instructions on using the program? I think I figured it out, but I would like to be sure.
Thanks
Oh and and in case anyone is wondering, craigs adapter fit just fine and is a very quality piece. He did a really good job on those.

1) limp home becase the chip in the memcal is ignored
2) the indentation on the end of the chip goes toward the edge of the ECM. As for the programmer...I dont use that one...but min has a blank check and if you run it with the chip in wrong you get an error. Yours may be the same way.
3) Cant help ya here.
