Are all wiring harnesses the same 82-92???????
I have a 85 SportCoupe that i'm giving a full
body makeover to an 89 RS,and I was wondering about the wiring harnesses for all
camaro years.I pulled a Pulldownhatch from a
tottaled IROC,and when I tried to find the connectors to plug it in there wasn't any.
I have the connection for the Hatch release switch in my center concole, but I couldn't
find the connectors for the Pulldownhatch
wiring harness to attach to.
IF YOU CAN HELP IT WOULD HELP ME OUT ALOT.

Well, the short answer is no they are not the same. In February I just finished putting in an 88 350 setup in my 85 sport coupe and had to reroute at least a dozen wires and could not have done it without the factory shop manuals for both years. The books are pricey but worth their weight in gold as far as I'm concerned. Generally speaking the connectors are the same but the wires don't necessarily go to the same places. By the way welcome to Thirdgen.org I have been watching these message boards for quite a while and have learned a bunch. There is no substitute for good information however you get it. Good luck with your project.

That is a good start but what you are doing is adding an option that was offten put on a the dealership and not the factory. Most of the add ons have a seprate harness that is routed after the fact. As for the assimbly manuals that is the best thing you can buy. It will save a lot of cussing in the long run. Good luck
