F'd up gauge

my gas gauge has gone wacky on me. it reads that i only have a quarter tank left and then when i go to fill it up it wont even take half a tank. and then the gauge doesnt even read the tank as being full. it started out as a smaller margin but now it seems to be getting worse. do all 3rd gens suffer from this? or is it something that is going/has gone out in my car. how do i go about fixing it?

yea they all suffer from this. but usually when the tank is full it goes to 12 like on a clock and when it gets liek half down it starts to bounce around. really nothin you can do unless you want to tear down the gas tank

The sending unit in your tank is probably on it's way out. You should check that your grounding points are all good before replacing anything.
