Car: 1985 iroc-z
Engine: 305 tpi with hooker super comp exhaust
Transmission: stock 700r4
power seat question, hope u can help!
ive got an 85 iroc with power seats. well the driver seat is powered but...all of the switches work exept for the one in the middle. it works but it only goes up and down, if i move it forward or back my seat doesnt move forward or back. anyone know what could be up with it....if the switch was bad would the other 2 sides work or is it mechanical inside the seat itself??

Take the seat out, it's only 4 bolts and then take the power base off the seat and plug it back into the car, then use a jumper wire to bypass the switch. If that makes it move then you know it is the switch.

cant i just take the switch out? u know how theres a harness that goes to it? i was going 2 do this and use one of the voltage testers that has a battery so u can send electric through it but i couldnt find one....i still took it apart and every connection looks good. even the 2 under the seat...so maybe somethings burnt out?? witch color wire would it be for them 2 go back and forth?
