try putting direct power to the fuel pump and see if it primes. Have you checked the relay and fuse?

the relay is one of the 2 or three that are mounted on the firewall behind your brake booster. I think the 2 best ways you can get at the wiring for your fuel is to either pull up the carpet behind your backseats, the inside connector is pop riveted right there. but the way I always do it is to crawl up under the car and find the connector and unplug it and run direct power to it. there whould be 3 wires on the connector, just power each one. if the pump doesn't prime donig this, then your pump is dead.

A stupid suggestion but make sure that the single-fuse holder by the battery has a good 20A fuse in it. That's the power source for your fuel pump and cooling fans.

Find the fuel pump relay and check its operation and signals with voltmeter. You can find all schematics you might need on our ATGO Tech DB wiring page.

If you need help troubleshooting the relay, let me know.

Did you find the fuse under the hood that is either on the radiator support or on the passenger fender? This fuse controls your fuel pump and also your oil pressure switch. I had the problem where the wire to the oil pressure switch shorted and broke and blew that fure and would cause the car not to run. If anything is wrong with the oil pressure switch or the wiring it will cut power to your car and allow it not to run. I would suggest finding that fuse and if it is gone than go under the car and look at the oil pressure switch and the wiring.

Check the fuse by the battery and the fuseable links on the starter. Are you connecting power to the purple wire at the fuel pump? It sounds like you have a fusible link problem. That is the most common problems that cause alot of electrical things to stop working.

Re: No Power too Fuel pump, headlights, rear hatch and wont start

The best way and safe way to check the fuel pump circuit is to find the relay, remove it, look at the connector and find the large orange wire and grey wire, jumper them together. The fuel pump should run untill you remove the wire. this will tell you that your power and grounds are good for your fuel pump. Now look at the connector and find the green with white tracer wire and the black with a white tracer or black. The black should be a good ground and the green/white white is the signal from the computer to turn the fuel pump on. Connect a test light between them and the light should come on for about 2 or 3 secs as soon as you turn the key on. This will tell you that the computer is doing its job. Now the oil press switch also has a lot to do with all of this, as mentioned above if it is faulty the car wont run unless you jumper the fuel pump on as i said earlier. Hope i helped

Re: No Power too Fuel pump, headlights, rear hatch and wont start

I fixed the problem but never really found out what it was... I took a wire from the negitive post on my batter and put it on bare metal on the car and bolted it down and the car seems to work perfectly fine now better then it did all last summer
