Fog/Driving lights
I push the button for the fog/driving lights to go on but they don't and the little orange light for them doesn't go on either. I have not replaced them at all. The bright lights are not stuck. What should or can I do besides change the lights.

Re: Fog/Driving lights
Should I put fuses in all the spots that don't have them

Re: Fog/Driving lights
Might be a dumb question but do you have your park or headlights on when you are trying to turn your fogs lights on? Mine won't work unless I have the light switch out. Just a thought.

Re: Fog/Driving lights
If you have already replaced the fuse and that didn't work it could be a ground. I think the ground wires are behind the light itself, I might be wrong. If those check out clean try the relay. The relay is on the drivers side just under the hood hinge. There should be a green, red, purple and brown-white wires going to it.
Purple = Output to Lamps
Green = Ground
Brown-White = Input Trigger From Switch
Red = 12Volts Constant
The red is from a fusible link. Test all with a voltmeter and verify their functions.
Another quick way to test if it's the relay, jumper the red and purple wire at the relay connector (without the relay connected). If the foglights turn on, it has to be the relay or switch. If they don't turn on, check your power source, and wire harness to the lights.
Hope this solves your problem

Re: Fog/Driving lights
If your High Beams are on, the fogs won't light up. At least, GTAs are that way. Same with the Parking lights, at least. No Parking Lights = no Fog Lights.
Fixing the Fog Lights on with the High Beams, is a simple fix, of cutting the relay wire, and grounding it, so your Fog Lights will stay on with the High Beams. Took me all of 5 minutes!

Re: Fog/Driving lights
We've given you steps to take, but you haven't responded with what steps YOU'VE taken to correct the problem.
Like I said above, your fogs won't light AT ALL without the parking lights on, at least.
If your headlights are on the High Beams position, the Fog Lights cut off, unless you change that function too.

Re: Fog/Driving lights
All the wires under the hood on the drivers side are hooked up correctly. So I'm a bit of a lost should I take of the bumper and follow the lights wires after doing so.

Re: Fog/Driving lights
Is there a good fuse in the correct location?
Have you checked for power to the switches? (headlight & fog switches)
Have you checked for power OUT Of the switches?
Is the relay to them even getting power? Is it outputing power?
Are the bulbs even any good? Jump them with direct power to check them.
LOTS of investigating still to be done.

Re: Fog/Driving lights
I used to have this problem all the time. The cheap little relay will burn out and you have to replace the whole thing. It's located next to the driverside fender. The gm one is like $20. The best bet is to go to a local parts store and buy a $5 one and wire it in in place of the gm one.
I guarantee that is your problem.

Re: Fog/Driving lights
Ok got bored today and checked under the hood again. This time I looked by the battery and there were wires with fuse spots. All the fuses are new but there is one red wire that has a round end that looks like it would connect to a ground or something?????
I will post up pics tomorrow or later tonight if I have time

These wires are found by the battery but I dont know what they hook up to. I think its for the fog lights. Most of the wires have fuses on them
