Temperature gage problem

I have a 86 camaro when I first start in the morning the gage goes up 220 thermostat opens goes back down reads ok.Shut it off start it back up gage does'nt read accurate.Ground the gage wire does'nt go to hot.Got a gage cluster on ebay took the temp gage and swapped it out, start it gage does'nt move stay all the way hot, ground it does'nt move don't ground it does'nt move.Changed sending unit by the spark plugs still don't work.Do I have two bad gages? Could my gage cluster I plug it into have a problem all the other gages seem to work ok.If it is my gage does anyone know of a place on the internet to get it fixed? Thanks

Re: Temperature gage problem

Well, the old gauge read (although incorrectly) and the new one from fleaBay doesn't. What does that tell you?
You did good troubleshooting with the grounding etc.

I wish I still had the old cluster, I would send you the temp gauge to try out. Sorry.
