Wiper mist not working.

Hey gang,

I have an '82 Trans AM, and my wiper mist is not working. You see, my brother bought a brand new windshield wiper pump a while back from AutoZone, and when we were testing out the mist function, we heard clicking noises but there's no wiper fluid squirting out. Our wiper system is a 2-speed. Can anyone help?

Are your hoses clear?

Re: Wiper mist not working.

There could be a place in the hoses where they have rotted through. I know I have seen that on my car.

I'll check on the hoses and see if that helped.

Re: Wiper mist not working.

My brother checked out the hoses and he did a little water test on them, and said they're fine. There's nothing blocked or clogged inside. Could it be the pump? I'll send a picture out in a little while.

Re: Wiper mist not working.

Just found out it was a bad fuse. It has been replaced with a new one (25 AMP), and everything is working fine the way it is.

I'll have to look at my manual when I get home.

Re: Wiper mist not working.

Sorry for the long reply. Thanks to my handy-dandy Chilton's Manual, it's on page 6-44 and it's on the very bottom where it says "Wiper" or "WPR" is the fuse. Good luck.
