#1... I'm guessing your chipped key is the problem....This exact topic was covered a few days ago.

#2..Spelling & PUNCTUAION. You know....Those things called periods & commas. Kinda hard to follow you, without it.

Re: Bypassing the surcurity.

92 has the security resistor chip in the key. Wrong chip (or ifthe computer thinks it is) the fuel pump isn't turned on.

You hafta totally bypass the lock out, or find the correct chip. 9 different ones, if I remember correctly.

Re: Bypassing the surcurity.

Have you checked for power at the fuel pump? Maybe the pump just went out & rewiring it won't get you anywhere.

Re: Bypassing the surcurity.

If you can find someone in your area that burn proms they can burn a custom prom for you that will disable the "surcurity" system.

Re: Bypassing the surcurity.

The fuel pump kicks on and its got fuel pressure jus not getting to carb. Jus like before with the 305 it would crank over but not start cause the injectors were shut off by the surcurity. I replaced ignition and keys and it worked so its all brand new.

Does ne one know the color of the wire that feeds power to the coil and distributer?

I mean is there ne way i can hook this up to toggles and push button? Or will i have to figure this sucurity stuff out first? Jus kinda confused a bit.

The ECM may not let hook up switches to get around it's defenses. Just deal with the VATS and you need them anyway.

Re: Bypassing the surcurity.

The pcm will not ground the injectors with out the correct fuel code, so the pump running won't do you any good. The most common problem is the two wires break right where they go into the lock cylinder. You can do it right and buy a new cylinder at your local dealer, or you can bypass it. You need to take a multimeter and measure the resistance (ohms) from one pin on your key to the other. You take that value and buy a resistor from radio shack that matches it. Then you go under your dash by the drivers feet and find the two small white wires wrapped in orange shielding. Cut the wires and connect them (vehicle side not cylinder) to each end or your resistor. This will make the pcm think it has the correct key value.
