Re: window motor problem help

I would run to wires into the two wires on your motor. Put one on the positive and the other negative. This should either roll up or down. Reverse the wires and once again either roll up or down. If this works your window just fine then it is a possible that the switch is going bad.

The window may simply be misaligned at the guides and is binding. The thermal switch will overhead and stop the motor.

after 20 yrs. a build up of dust & dirt can/will cause problems . remove door panel & plastic sheeting . clean & lube all linkage and tracks . inspect & repair any other faults you may find . i have used mineral spirits in a spray bottle to clean and white lithium spray on linkage then silicone spray on tracks . has worked for me in the past . remove rubber drain plugs on bottom of door & clean inside of door ( no telling what you may find ) . test and re-install everything . don't forget plastic sheeting under door panel . i got mine at home depot & installed with hot glue gun . has worked for me and friends many times over the years . good luck .
