HELP! Need to ID the wire

NewPics 037.jpg

NewPics 038.jpg

Can anyone help me figure out what this plug plugs into?? (see pic). It has green and white stripe wires going to it and another plug that stems from it plugs into the a/c compressor and it all goes to somewhere behind the firewall. My a/c doesn't work. I can't see anywhere nearby where it would plug into. HELP!

Re: HELP! Need to ID the wire

Thanks for your reply. The smog pump has been removed from my car ( going to replace it soon ), just wondering where this connector connects to. The emissions parts are on the other side of the motor, but the a/c compressor is nearby.

Re: HELP! Need to ID the wire

The flat connector (green/white and black wires) is for your A/C clutch and connects to the front of your compressor.
The round connector (green/white and blue/black) is for the high-pressure switch and goes on the back of the compressor.

If they were disconnected, it might have been for a reason. For example, the compressor might be locked up and if you reconnect the switches and turn on your A/C, the engine could stall. Just an example.

Hope this helps.
Lou

Re: HELP! Need to ID the wire

Ok, THANKS BigBadLou! You were RIGHT! It plugged right into the front of the compressor. My a/c still doesn't work, so now I'm going to take it to a local guy. But that connector being loose was driving me nuts.. Thanks again for all your help.
