tach went crazy
i have not driven the car for a week and i left my radar detector on. started the car but it would not start because the battery was dead. when i turned the ignition it turned over a little and my tach red lined and is not stuck on the wrong side of the needle. i rev the engine and it does not move. what happened and should i pull the gauge cluster out and pull the tach part out and put it back in. any help is good thanks

Re: tach went crazy
Sounds like the capacitor on the tach board may have gone bad... although IIRC it was a gradual failure.
