My cousin just bought an 89 iroc z TPI the engine turns over but its not getting a spark. Where should I start? dizzy and coil? If it was the VATS it wouldn't even turn over right?

SPARKS IN THE DARK

Right.

In 99% of those cases I replace the ignition module and coil.

Makes for a quick pit-stop.

But if you’re on a budget you need do it step by step to save $$$$$$.

So the first thing to do is disconnect the 4 pin distributor connector, crank the engine while monitoring for spark.

If you then have spark replace the pickup coil.

If no spark while cranking the engine with the 4 pin connector disconnected report back.

Happy Racing!

Fog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.

How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!
