wiring harness compatibility
Having a lot of intermittant problems with my 1988 TransAm GTA. I have found a few damaged/broken wires. Plan is to replace the engine compartment harness. I have located a couple, but I want to insure they will work. Best I can do is ask for a pic since they are not in the local area. My car has the "F" engine, factory A/C, MAF and the cold start injector. The cable enters the body down in the right fender well, a large connector. Are the Camaro and Firebird harnesses the same(assuming it came from an F or 8 engine)? Any way to tell by part number?

Re: wiring harness compatibility
86-88 TPI harnesses were essentially the same
Camaros had cable speedos so the VSS wiring will not be there if you put it in a bird
