wire cut

ok there is a wire that goes to the master cylinder which i believe is the low brake fluid sensor. does this wire run underneath the engine? right on top of the cross member under the engine their is another wire that has been cut and it appears to be the same color as the one coming off of the sensor. why in the hell would somebody cut this?

Re: wire cut

No idea why they cut the brake warning sensor, but no it doesnt go under the engine

It goes directly to the C100 bulkhead near the booster. Pin A5

Not sure on the wire near the K-member, tan and tan/wht were very common

Re: wire cut

I'd probably solder it back together and put a piece of heat shrink tubing on it.

Re: wire cut

Do not solder the two back together until you know what both go to. Bad things happen with guesswork in the electrical system

Trace the K-member wire back to its loom. What vicinity is it in and what other wires are in the loom

Re: wire cut

From the factory there are about 3 single wires on the drivers side. There's a green wire for the temperature gauge, the tan/white wire for the brake warning light, and a purple wire for the oxygen sensor.

Re: wire cut

yeah all the gauges work. the wire that is laying on the cross member runs back through the firewall and it has a black wire cover over it. i didnt see anywhere that it could connect under the car or on the drivers side.

Re: wire cut

The only coax in the car is from the radio to antenna and it doesnt go anywhere near the K-member

Sounds like someone added it later
