Just added LED tail lights to my 92 -Video

Below is a video of my newly installed LED's on my 3rd Gen. I have also installed newly "Smoked" lenses from Hawks 3rd Gens. The 91/92 tail lights are so bad for delaminating that you really can't use them to show....so the logical choice was to have them custom tinted.

I am still able to leave my amber turn signals in, but the LED's are red and pass through the Amber lens as red for a uniform look. I plan to add back the red "PONTIAC" letters like from the factory. You can get them from
http://www.autografics.com/pages/birds3.htm

Larry at ClassicLeds (www.classicleds.com) did these for me and the ones installed are the prototype for the 3rd Gens. I just made these for the first time so you may not see on his web yet. You can contact him direct for more details and how to purchase.

It's a four wire hook up and for those who don't have the wiring diagram please note the following for the 92...note sure of the other years..but suspect in my be the same for others.
Brown=Running lights
Yellow=Left Turn Signal
Dk Green=Right Turn Signal
Blue=Brakes

Re: Just added LED tail lights to my 92 -Video

Are those 91/92 TA/GTA tail lights? Or the kind with Amber sections?

Are those LED bulbs that fit into stock housings, or did the housings require cutting & modification?

I want LED bulbs for my car, but can't find any that are bright enough for me to be happy with.

Re: Just added LED tail lights to my 92 -Video

These are 91/92 TA/GTA light housing with the Amber turn signal lens on the end sections. Although Amber you cannont see the color with the tinted lenses.

These are not bulbs...these are manufactured panels that are glued into the housings and tied to a computer chip.

No cutting, but you do need to have a little experiance with wiring, know how to read a volt meter, etc.

The cost is Red brake with amber turn signal: MSRP $ 179.95
With white reverse $ 235.95
All red Non sequential W/reverse $ 198.95
All red Sequential w/reverse $ 229.95

Larry at Classic is one of the best I have ever worked with...heck he answers the phone on Sun to help with questions!

OUCH!

My STS Controllers were only $55 & utilized 100% stock housings. I just need LED bulbs, nothing else.
