WHY WON'T THIS WORK!!? The second installment of the epic head light switch saga.
Ok, so I'm looking to put My head light switch back where it belongs (see origional post) https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/inte...-way-swap.html). But the **** won't go in and stick. Like the old head light switch, the **** goes in just fine, but unlike the old switch, it doesn't click and stay in place. They are pretty much the same aside from a few outward design differences. But that should only affect how it fits in the dash. The hole that the **** stick is supposed to go into is triangle chaped, just like the **** stick. So why is it not clicking!? Here's a few pics of the old one and the new one that I got from Advanced Auto. Tell me what you think.

I got it. It wasn't working, and then I went to go show my dad that it wouldn't work and I put in in and it just clicked. haha. Now it goes in and comes out just fine.

theres a plasitc piece that screws into the metal peice on the front. it sandwiches the dash bezel between the switch and the screw in piece, its what holds the switch in place in the dash.

Haha. Nope. I was wondering how this thing was supposed to be held in place, and I noticed the threading in the front. Guess I need that piece now. I'll probably just get a new one from the Auto Parts store down the street.

yea, the switch goes behind the dash, then that nut screws into the metal peice from the front side and sandwiches it in, then the dash bezel goes in and the rod goes in the hole.
