Need quick coil answers
Hey guys, just got the camaro legal.... I know my tach is wrong, so I'm hooking an aftermarket one up.... When I look through my Haynes manual it says the white wire is the negative, correct? But there are two going to the coil, so which would I hook the tach to? Thanks, 91 305 tbi

Tach Talk
The White wire you need to use comes from the ignition coil primary.
I don’t know what Haynes means by “white wire is the negative”, due to the fact the wire you need is POSITIVE.
Hopefully the PO didn’t change any wire colors.
You can find out if the White wire is correct by using a small bulb such as a side marker lamp to probe the White wire.
If it’s the wire for the tach it will pulse when the engine is idling.
